Intuitive eating is a mindful approach to nourishing your body and developing a healthy relationship with food. It involves listening to your body's natural cues, such as hunger and fullness without judgement or restriction. It encourages you to trust yourself and make food choices based on what feels good and satisfying.
It rejects diet culture and promotes the idea that all foods can fit into a balanced eating pattern. Intuitive eating focuses on finding pleasure in eating and embracing a non-dieting approach for long-term well-being. It ultimately allows you to become the expert of your own body and make choices that support your overall health and happiness.
Over the past number of years it’s been my mission to train extensively in many disciplines so that I can draw on the best of those to facilitate your discoveries.

The first thing we work on together is your thoughts and helping you to achieve a healthy relationship with food. This means you no longer have a restrictive mindset around food and are able to listen to your own hunger cues.
A fear many women have is that they will just end up eating pizza and chocolate all of the time. However, this is not the case through a process called habituation. Diets are known to fail and have numerous adverse health effects.
When you stop dieting, some people lose weight, some people gain weight, we will explore weight and your health goals if that is what you want - but only when you have achieved a healthy relationship with food.
With intuitive eating you cannot fail. Many women who come to me have tried countless diets, and they are restrictive and damaging to their relationship with food.
When we work together, I don’t tell you what to eat - you learn how to cope with your emotions, connect back with your body’s own internal hunger cues and stop binge eating.
Intuitive eating takes a holistic approach to health and well-being. It recognizes that factors beyond just food and weight, such as emotional health, stress, and self-care, also play a role in overall wellness.
That is diet culture messaging. When you learn how to listen to your own hunger cues, you learn how to decide what feels good in your body and what you need at that moment.
You don’t restrict because you know that you can have more of that food if you desire it - it doesn't become the ‘shiny object’ and just becomes food.
I am certified in eating disorder recovery and work with clients with disordered eating and binge eating.
All eating disorders are unique and I will assess this on an individual basis in our consultation call together. If I feel a team based approach is needed, I may likely refer you to a psychologist and/or GP.
Healing your relationship with food actually can help you to get more time back in the long run. Think about the amount of time, energy and happiness that is sacrificed obsessing over food and body image?
A lot of clients report that when they do this work, a weight is lifted and they have more space, peace and clarity in their lives.
A lot of women are overwhelmed and running on auto-pilot - these busy times are often when this work is the most needed.
Often clients report having spent thousands on various meal plans, diet plans, gym memberships, meal shakes or programs that they don’t even enjoy.
Of course, it can be hard to see the value in something that we can’t physically see but your health is one of the most important things in life - if we have an ailment we spend money to see a GP. I see so many women at breaking point and stressed when they first come to me, that stress eventually can lead to illness both physically and mentally which is where they have no choice but to spend money on their health.
This approach prevents you from getting to that point. I also offer payment plans for my clients which is something we can discuss on a consultation call together.
